Equipment
The "Events Floor" is on the first floor of a partly restored former
mill building in central Bradford.
Although the room has a number of uses (meetings, drama etc.) by far
the majority of events occurring there are gigs of some type or other.
As we are frequently asked about the sound equipment, here is a list of
what's there at present:
The main sound system comprises three* subs beneath the stage and a
pair of mid/top boxes hung from the ceiling.
The subs are 3 2 x 18 inch Peavey
HDH3 bass reflex cabinets, driven by a pair of
Peavey CS1000x
amps.
The mid/tops are a pair of Peavey
HDH4 mid/top cabinets driven by one
CS1000 and one CS800x amp.
The whole lot is controlled by a pair of HDH
Three way processor/crossovers.
*The centre sub is split between the left and right amplifier channels.
Monitors comprise four Peavey HDH wedges at stage front and a drumfill
comprising an
HDH3 2 x 18 bass cab and the HF cluster from an HDH4
cab (the mid driver is disconnected). All the monitors are
crossed over using HDH
controllers in two-way mode.
A combination of Peavey 8.5c, Soundtech PL1000 and QSC USA370 amps
drive the monitors
A four-way monitor mix is available from the desk by using auxilliary
send 1 and 2 and the "Mix B" output.
The stage is connected to the mix position by a 16+4 way multicore,
which has a couple of sub-multis across the stage to cut down on cable
clutter (a four way to stage front for vocals, an eight-way for drums
and backline).
The mixer is a Behringer MX8000 with meter bridge.
Three Alesis MEQ230 graphics allow eq for each channel (including one
for each of the four monitors channels).
There's some basic digital reverb device which we hope to replace
shortly.
